In the late days of the Pacific War, the Japanese army began building “balloon bombs”. In charge were schoolgirls in their teens. The weapon claimed the lives of many civilians in the US.
With the rise of the internet, the former schoolgirls learn about the horrid reality of the weapon, becoming haunted by a sense of guilt.
