NOW screening in Kyoto
The history of Japanese film begins in Kyoto in the late 19th century. This year marks the 5th "Kyoto International Film & Art Festival". Although we have events championing “everything to do with film and art”, this time the festival has returned to its roots and strongly beats the drum for "film".
The city of Kyoto has turned out some giants of the film industry who’ve created a great many classic films, and we want to share the joy of watching movies with as many people as possible.
This poster was designed with that in mind.
For four days from October 11, 2018, Kyoto will play host to a film screening extravaganza.
