Who can you believe?
There’s a legend in this village. Every 100 years, one of the kids disappears. It’s winter for these high school sophomores. They befriend a new student who recently transfered from Tokyo. The kids spend their days goofing off and fooling around.
And then one day, one of them disappears. The small village is in chaos. People begin to remember the legend. And then another of the boys disappears. People begin to grow suspicious of the transfer student. But the kids want to trust him. He’s their friend, after all.
It’s a story of friendship, love, fear, and bravery that you only see in times of crisis. A mysterious transfer student, a town legend, secrets among friends, and an unknown criminal! This miraculous film was made 10 years after being written by Akutagawa Prize winning author Naoki Matayoshi.
