Violence Voyager is the first feature length film made using the "gekimation" animation technique.
Ujicha has been making films using this technique since his university days, and made his directing debut in 2013 with the film The Burning Buddha Man, which entered film festivals around the world, winning Best Film at the 2013 Japan Media Arts Festival.
Working almost entirely alone to create 3,000 original frames, while also directing, writing the script, shooting, and drawing, this analog artist is at the pinnacle of 21st century film.
